After several years offline, the New Zealand Morse Code Key Directory has been republished here.
Find information about all known types of Morse telegraph key made in New Zealand, whether for use in landline telegraphy, commercial radiotelegraphy, the military, or amateur radio.
There are four sections to the directory:
Straight keys (sometimes called “pump keys”)
Semi-automatic keys (often called “bugs”) which make their own dots mechanically
Paddles (single-lever and dual-lever) for use with electronic keyers which make dots and dashes automatically
If you know of other keys, or would like to contribute information, photos or anecdotes, please contact the editor.
Thank you.
